Cloud Carib reaffirmed its commitment to fostering technological education, youth empowerment, and cybersecurity awareness. The company’s integrated approach to supporting youth and technology was recently displayed through a series of impactful initiatives.

Their most recent efforts included a campaign for Cybersecurity Awareness Month, which is observed every October. Representatives from Cloud Carib presented an engaging experiment to test the senior students at St. Andrew’s International School. The interactive sessions covered key cybersecurity topics students could relate to, including Internet and social media safety, social engineering aimed at teens, password hygiene, phishing, cyberbullying, and tech careers in cybersecurity.

This initiative reinforced Cloud Carib’s commitment to empowering the youth by nurturing responsible digital citizenship and opening their eyes to the dangers that may be lurking.

Olivia Dorsett, Director of Marketing Communications at Cloud Carib, shared her perspective on the company’s commitment, “We recognize the importance of tech literacy for our youth, and we’re committed to providing that foundation at Cloud Carib. It’s really about understanding technology’s role – not only today but for their future – and ensuring that our youth are fully equipped to leverage it effectively and combat any.”

At the core of Cloud Carib’s commitment is the utilization of its purpose-built Center of Excellence (CoE) multi-purpose training facility adjacent to the company’s headquarters in Sandyport. The CoE, boasting over 4,000 square feet of space, serves as a vibrant hub for innovation, collaboration, and knowledge sharing for non-profits and Digital Nomads members.

Recently, the company also offered the use of the center to host the Bahamas Birds and Botany Group (BBB), which nurtures young minds exploring the intersections of

T’ Noya Thompson, BBB Lead, expressed her gratitude for Cloud Carib’s generous support, saying,

“The facility allowed the launch of our ‘Bahamians, Birds & Botany Cohort 2.’ We had the space, technology, and safety needed to support student training and our leadership clinic. Because this program is completely free for students, it was critical to secure this sponsorship which, in turn, is supporting the next generation of Bahamian conservationists!”
